Acheron Trading, a Singapore-based crypto market making firm, has secured a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) license under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). The Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) granted the license, marking Acheron as the first dedicated crypto market maker to achieve this under MiCA.
CEO Laurent Benayoun emphasized Europe’s strategic importance, citing steady crypto adoption across retail, corporate, and institutional investors. "MiCA positions Europe as a first-mover in unified crypto regulation," he noted, underscoring the region’s growing influence in digital asset markets.
